The Tamar Valley Resort is located a quick 15 minute drive from Launceston and only 40 minutes from the Launceston Airport. The Tamar Valley Resort offers a secluded but comprehensive product offering which is ideal for Conferences. This promotes the entire conference group staying together which promotes networking and industry connectivity.

The Resort has a large team which specialise in planning and rolling out residential conferences, business events, product launches, networking and motivational directing, employee and board retreats, training sessions and teamwork events.

Conference Packages

At the Tamar Valley Resort we can provide full day and part day packages. Our full day package includes:

  • Iced water and mints on tables
  • Stationary such as pens and paper
  • Modern audio and visual equipment

*Room Hire is only included in a full day package when the conference has over 40 delegates.

Conference Facilities

The Tamar Valley Resort has everything you need to deliver a quality and enjoyable conference.

  • 4 large conference spaces seating 60 to 170 in theatre style
  • Over 6 breakout spaces which can be utilised for smaller workshops
  • Formal boardroom which seats 12 when seated at the board table or 22 in theatre style
  • We have a team of over 30 people working in our food and beverage team to make sure we can provide the highest level of service

The Tamar Valley Resort has varied accommodation options and can sleep up to 280 guests at one time.

The resort has a total of 97 rooms made up of Hotel Suites, 2 and 3 Bedroom Chalets, and Villas, and is sure to have the perfect option to accommodate your delegates.

Conference

Enzian

  • Guest Capacity: 68
  • Floor Area: 136 sqm

The Enzian Function Room is located above the Alpenrose Bistro on level one of the Alpenrose Bistro building. This room can be booked with a minimum of 50 guests and no more than 68 guests. The Enzian room has a built in dance floor and a private bar and balcony.

Geneva

  • Guest Capacity: 76
  • Floor Area: 152 sqm

The Geneva Room is located on the ground floor of the Grand Hotel Building. The Geneva is suitable for a group of 40 – 76 guests and is often used for large celebrations as well as conferences. The Geneva has a built in private bar, portable dance floor and a convenient lounge area located just off the main entry.

Boardroom

  • Guest Capacity: 14
  • Floor Area: 28 sqm

The Tamar Valley Resort Board Room is located closely to the Geneva Function Room within the main Hotel building on ground floor. You can comfortably fit up to 14 guests in a boardroom style meeting in this room.

Eiger

  • Guest Capacity: 20
  • Floor Area: 40 sqm

The Eiger room is a completely private room near the Alpenrose Bistro which can seat up to 20 guests at one time. This room can be used for breakfast, lunch or dinner bookings as well as meetings and workshops. To book this room we require a group of at least 15 people.

Tamarhorn

  • Guest Capacity: 84
  • Floor Area: 168 sqm

The Tamarhorn room is our largest private function room and can have up to 84 guests. To book this room you must have a minimum of 70 guests to book. The Tamarhorn Room has a built in private bar and removable dancefloor. The Tamarhron Room is located above the Alpenrose Bistro on level one of the Alpenrose Bistro Building.

Edelweiss

  • Guest Capacity: 56
  • Floor Area: 112 sqm

The Edelweiss function space is located on a separate property, approximately 3 minute drive from the Tamar Valley Resorts main property. This unique building is stunning, with a large deck and beautiful lakeside views. This room has a fully private kitchen, bar and built in dance floor. The maximum capacity of this room is 56 guests and a minimum booking number of 40 full paying guests.

Alpenrose Bistro – Lakeside

  • Guest Capacity: 56
  • Floor Area: 112 sqm

This room is separated to the Alpenrose’ Main Bistro Floor with glass French doors. This room has a built in high definition television, great for presentations and a beautiful view lake serene. The Lakeside Room is available for lunch and dinner bookings for groups of more than 40 people. The maximum capacity of this room is 56 people.

Alpenrose Bistro – Breakfast Room

  • Guest Capacity: 35
  • Floor Area: 70 sqm

This room is separated to the Alpenrose’ Main Bistro Floor with a sliding frosted glass door. This room has a built in buffet and a beautiful view of the resorts lake serene. The Breakfast Room is available for lunch and dinner bookings for groups of more than 20 people. The maximum capacity of this room is 35 people.

Alpenrose Bistro – Bar

  • Guest Capacity: 30
  • Floor Area: 60 sqm

Has three spaces within the main restaurant which can be used as private spaces as they can be closed off to the rest of the public. These are available for private bookings as long as the minimum number of guests is reached.
